Seek Him. Find Him. Follow Him. Every day.

My first experience with writing occurred during a six week journalism program at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL just before my senior year of high school. By the time I finished I knew I was not meant for journalism. I was much too wordy and descriptive for "just the facts."
Because I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, I took a year off between high school and college and read my Bible from front to back. For the first time it all made sense to me. I saw God was intricately involved with His people and sincere about carrying out His plans. That year was the beginning of my serious study of scripture.

I received my BFA in Creative Writing at Southwest Minnesota State University. A few months later I married my husband. I gave up writing for about ten years after college, because I wasn't sure how I could use the thing I loved doing most to serve the Lord.
In 2004 at the prompting of a friend, I started a Mom's group at church. Discontented with the Bible studies available, I wrote my own. I've been writing and teaching Bible studies ever since. Recently I've also begun speaking and putting on seminars for women.

My husband and I have been blessed with four children, a dog, and a cat.
